Come and join us at one of our meetings, held weekly, for fellowship, dinner, and an informative and interesting presentation from a guest speaker. Cost is $25 for a 2 course meal including a raffle ticket.

Hello to All

 

From Wednesday 18th April our weekly meeting will be held at the East Malvern RSL, Stanley Grose Drive Malvern East (Melways Map 60 A12)– if you get lost  call the RSL Club on 9571 4318, Andrew H on 0418 540086 or Paul R on 0409 937080.

  

The past few weeks have seen a great deal of community activity for the members of the Club and Friends of Rotary including running our annual community event at Central Park in Malvern incorporating the "Sounds of Stonnington", which gives local schools the opportunity to perform in front of a large audience, we've hosted Group Study Exchange members from Rotary District 3030 in India, we've done hands-on work with families in Kinglake as part of Bushfire Recovery

 

We've also had top class speakers including:

  • Julie Rennie "fired up" motivational speaker and author of ‘The Metabolic Clock’ on "How to motivate your mind and fire-up your metabolism"
  • Winston Marsh, also a motivational speaker on “Lies Your Mother Told You”
  • Ron Adams explaining the valuable work done by ARH (Australian Rotary Health)
  • Nicola Watts a City of Stonnington Citizen of the Year award winner for her work with the Light House Foundation    
  • Alicia Eva a City of Stonnington Young Citizen of the Year award winner 
  • Sister Leonida Kwamboka from Kenya talking about the oustanding and insipring work of her group "Women for Women in Africa"

(Donations in Kind) warehouse - 400 Somerville Road, West Footscray - Tuesday & Thursday between 9:00am and 15:00pm.

Packing soaps for maternal needs in Timor Leste
The first Monday of each month in Camberwell 1pm till 4pm.

 

Hands On activities is one of the important opportunities we need to have available to our Club members, family and friends, so that we can continue to 'make a difference'. Please find listed below some of those opportunities:

  • Preparing and packing goods at DIK (Donations in Kind) warehouse - 400 Somerville Road, West Footscray - Tuesday & Thursday between 9:00am and 15:00pm. For further information email: dik.vic.rotary@gmail.com
